Tara korinek
Dallas Project Manager
Hi, I’m Tara — I am a New England transplant bringing Greenwich Play down South to Dallas, Texas and the surrounding Metroplex. It’s nice to meet “y’all”!
As a graduate of Boston College (B.S. Finance) and Sacred Heart Greenwich, I was born and raised in the Northeast. I have been in client services for more than a decade working directly with individuals and organizations across the country developing effective solutions for their needs. While I’ve held many roles over the last decade, such as financial consultant, territory leader, and project manager, there is no title more important to me than “mama” to my two young boys (ages 3 and 1).
When I became pregnant with my first son, as any good consultant would do, I dove straight into the research on my next topic — early child development. It was evident throughout the studies that children primarily learn through play, and that the environment and materials that are used during play can be transformative. So, off I went to create the best play space that I could in our (tiny) rental home.
Many thought that my floor plan, mood board, and “wish list” of products for my son’s future play space was overkill, but I personally found the effort to be incredibly exciting and purposeful. Interior design has always been a side interest of mine, so crafting a practical yet visually attractive space backed by science was the perfect task for my background and interests.
Fast forward, and I am now honored to be creating inspiring play spaces for Dallas families as part of the Greenwich Play team. I’ve continued to learn and pursue related opportunities as a Montessori school reading buddy, children’s church teacher, and student finishing coursework on “Play and The Developing Brain in Early Childhood Education”. When I’m not working, you can find me in the Dallas community attending Junior Women’s League and MomCo meetings, walking Lake Highlands with my Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, or on my way to eat Tex-Mex with family and friends.
